The inspiration behind Abstract World stemmed from the desire to create a unique art piece from recycled metal. The design embodies an abstract vision of a deconstructed world map, devoid of borders, reflecting the global nature of contemporary businesses. The raw color of steel, hand-tempered and painted, enhances the industrial aesthetic of the piece.

What sets Abstract World apart is its distinctive features. This super-sized, lighted wall art map is handcrafted and suitable for contemporary offices or commercial spaces with large walls. Weighing 130 pounds and taking 12 weeks to create, the embedded lighting gives it a floating feel, adding to its allure.

The design is crafted in Egypt from cast iron with LED lights around the rim. The meticulous handcrafting process and manual painting add to its uniqueness. The map is customizable depending on the wall size and comes with hanging clocks indicating time zones for six countries, making it a functional piece of art.

Abstract World is not just a decorative art piece but also an interactive design. The map comes with six wall clocks indicating time zones for selected countries. The creation of Abstract World was not without challenges. The concept of abstracting continents and countries without distorting their distinctive positioning required repetitive trials. The casting of recycled steel and hand tempering it to the broken-lines design with specified coordinates of protrusions and gouges was another hurdle. However, these challenges were successfully overcome, resulting in a design that is proportional, abstract, modern, and industrial while maintaining authenticity and uniqueness.

Abstract World has been recognized for its design excellence, winning the Silver A' Limited Edition and Custom Design Award in 2019. This award is given to top-of-the-line, creative, and professionally remarkable designs that illustrate outstanding expertise and innovation. The design has been patented in Egypt, further cementing its status as a unique and innovative piece of art.
